Hi again,
Im just wondering (namely Simon),whats the status of 1:1 userland threading? What's holding it back? I thought there was meant to be a lot of work done before new years even during the hackathon.

we did some stuff and we planned even more. we're few people, so it won't ever
go fast. next on the plate are changes to userland so that kinfo_proc will be
independent from struct proc (no more proc size missmatch) and lwps can be
exported.

after this is done, we in turn can again change structures in the kernel
without having to drag the userland along all the time.

i'm waiting for the release to be branched before working on it again. no need
to destabilize the release. additionally, it is a bitch to work with multiple
patches in CVS :/

cheers
 simon
