Hopefully the JavaOS/B model is equally elegant; I'm investigating
it as I'm rewriting the keyboard driver. Since it JavaOS/B is now
defunct, I'm more inclined to roll our own driver/device model. We'll
see. (I don't want to start doing major hackery to support classpath
until the gc stuff is firmly in place...)
