I am looking forward to using GRUB to boot JOS from a hard drive. Meanwhile, I haven't given up booting my JOS machine across the network from my Linux server. My JOS machine doesn't "connect" with BOOTP. Question: Is a Reverse Address Resolution Protocol (RARP) service required for BOOTP to work? My book on TCP/IP hints that it might be. Question: Does my Linux server run a RARP service automatically? If I had to guess, I would say that Linux doesn't run RARP unless you configure it that way. _______________________________________________ Kernel maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://jos.org/mailman/listinfo/kernel
