I would like to download a runtime distribution of JOS. I tried this before and it *almost* worked. Unfortunately, I was stumped by BOOTP. With help from Corrado Santoro <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, I downloaded a runtime distribution of JOS and untar'd it on my Linux box. 1. I want to download a runtime distribution of JOS to my Linux box with the minimum of fuss. 2. I want to run JOS. I do not want to compile decaf. I do not want to compile classpath. I do not want to compile the jJOS/decaf bytecode. Question 1: If I assume Linux is running, is it possible to put a runtime distribution of JOS on CD, mount the CD at a Linux prompt and run JOS immediately? Question 2: If I assume GRUB is my boot-loader, it is possible to put a runtime distribution of JOS on CD, instruct my JOS machine to boot directly from CD and run JOS immediately? _______________________________________________ Kernel maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://jos.org/mailman/listinfo/kernel
