That looks somewhat odd. Is there a strong reason for that which I missed when
quickly looking at this? Such an approach makes it easier to inspect stuff and
hide something. Can't there be some placeholder in kernel.spec.template that
is replaced by when by make when processing the Makefile, just like we do for
a lot of other stuff? Yes, might be a bit more complicated because the list of
files is not known in advance, but might be worth it.
