Are you actually sure "everything goes fine"? It's amazing how much can go wrong during a Linux boot and you still get a login prompt... > but when I typed 'ifconfig' command , it reports no such file : > /proc/net/dev . Is the /proc filesystem mounted? What kernel are you trying to boot, a distro kernel or a self-compiled one?
