...please help me what to do...Actually i disabled the entire USB support when 
i compiled the module...now i have to do install manually..Noe there is no USB 
directory itself...what to do for that....Kindly help me..i am getting the  
same error......

You do not have the module. Check if it resides in your
/lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/usb/host.
if not, then recompile the kernel with the necessary modules.

PS:- Try to keep kernelnewbies in loop, this discussion may prove
helpful to somebody else too :).
