Ubuntu has kernel 2.6.32-24-generic but that is because Ubuntu 10.04
is LTS(Long Term Support) and so is kernel 2.6.32.

I am amazed this question was answered so peacefully and without a
flame war.  I have only been following this list for a year now, but
find it a very peaceful with low traffic, yet useful information for
all levels of skill.  I wish we could say that about open source as a
whole.
