It is not intentional. The input field is simply not flagged to permit horizontal scrolling. In other words the ES_AUTOHSCROLL flag is not set on the EDIT control. This has been fixed on the trunk and will be fixed in KFW 3.2.2 Beta 1. This is RT ticket 5809. Jeffrey Altman
