Hi,
Thanks for your response
Earlier I was using native gdb found on x86 machine.
Then I used gdb targeted for MIPS machine, but it didn't work.

--------------------------------------------------
# ./mipsisa32-elf-gdb ../linux/kernels/mips-linux-2.6.15/vmlinux
GNU gdb 5.3 (eCosCentric)

This GDB was configured as "--host=i686-pc-linux-gnu
--target=mipsisa32-elf"...
(gdb)
(gdb)
(gdb) set remotebaud 115200
(gdb)
(gdb) target remote /dev/ttyUSB0
Remote debugging using /dev/ttyUSB0
Ignoring packet error, continuing...
Ignoring packet error, continuing...
Ignoring packet error, continuing...
Couldn't establish connection to remote target
Malformed response to offset query, timeout
(gdb) q
