If I had to give my opinion, I'd say it still needs some work before it's ready for release. At very least, I found it rather unintuitive that it silently fails if you run it while pcbnew isn't running. Any chance of changing that, preferably so that it launches pcbnew?
It has a few other minor quirks, but that one in particular struck me as unfriendly. (I'd list more if I still had the build around... but can go back to it later today.)
