(I tried to determine for every change where it comes from. Did not find
the pull request in question for the three removed symbols and for one
possible false positive.)

As soon as i update that list somebody will need to decide if the
changes are acceptable for being included. If not then 5.0.1 should
continue to ship with the libs tagged as 5.0.0 (It would not make much
sense to add a new tag onto the same commit. I would even argue that
this might confuse users who would expect changes if a new tag is created.)
