Thanks for the reference to the video.pro example.  I had been through 
them some time ago and I do understand the concept of hierarchical sheets.

Revising the video.pro I now notice that the sheets do not have 
input/output terminals.  These only appear on the parent sheet within 
the block that represents the sub-sheet.

My issue was that I was expecting to see input/output terminals on each 
sheet so I knew which external signals were available to me.  I think 
this is a misconception :-/

Is there a way to get to view or list of external/global signals, while 
working in the sub-sheet?

Is there a way to see multiple sheets at once.  eg. a parent sheet and 
sub-sheets?
