I have created a library named "john's" and integrated it into my eeschema collection, according to the method prescribed by eeschema. I opened a part "LS368" that was part of the 74XX library; saved it into the john's libary, made changes to float the power pins, and saved it again into the john's library. Unfortunately, it seems my changes were global, and even retroactive into parts that were already placed in my schematic. This is regrettable. Can anyone advise me on how to accomplish the seemingly fundamental task of saving a modified part LOCALLY to a new library?
