  You can place a zone on the mask layer.  Be sure and select the track first.
Also, the grafic line width can be set be
Dimensions - Texts & Drawings - Graphic segm Width.  You will not see the real 
width unless 
you go to
Preferences - Display Optons - Display other options - click on "Filled"

  I use zones on the mask layer to remove the mask from ground areas to allow 
soldering of 
a shield.
