I am confused with how Kicad handles library files under Vista. I have been searching through my hard drive. The original library file I am using Kicad is located at:
c:\program files\kicad\share\library but the modified library after editing in the library editor is located at: c:\documents and settings\douglas deeds\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\kicad\share\library and a copy at: c:\users\douglas deeds\appdata\roaming\virtualstore\program files\kicad\share\library Updates to my library never show back up in the original directory. This probably goes along with why kicad never looks back at the original file if I edit it with a text editor. Is this how it is supposed to work? Regards, Doug
