That might work. The thing I don't really know how to do is "import" so
what I do is really more like.

1. In my new project, place a hierarchical sheet for each sheet of the old
project I want blocks off of. I don't bother adding any pins or anything.

(This will create new blank sheets.)

2. Exit the project, and in the OS, copy the sheets from the old project
over the new blank sheets in the new project.

3. Open the new project back up. Now when you click on a sheet, you'll see
your blocks, and you can cut and paste to your heart's content.

4. When you are done with a block, delete the hierarchical sheet off the
main schematic sheet, and then in the filesystem you can delete the
corresponding .sch file.

Does this make sense?
