[kicad-users] Wire connections will not connect to components

Hi all, I'm setting up a schematic prior to creating the pcb.  The problem I'm getting is not all wire connections will attach to the schematic components.  I don't understand why some will.  Can anyone shed some light? Attached below is a small screnshot of what I'm talking about: As you can see, to the left side of R4 is not connected, but the right side is. Thanks for any help, Paul
