Many thanks for your answer.
As I do not found where I do a mistake, I try to send attached a small board
and what I see on the screen.
There are 17 small vias connected to GND at the top and one 4mm vias at the
right bottom. In PCBnew there are just white marks, but no holes (as for
pads and nothing in 3D view.

I'm using same Kicad version also on WinXP. Via holes are visible for me in
PCBnew (unless turned off in the render options), and are also visible in 3D
view. Did you check the via hole sizes etc?
