Hi Jelena,

The com.ontotext.kim.client.gate.NercAPI interface is renamed to com.ontotext.kim.client.semanticannotation.SemanticAnnotationAPI.

Hi Ilian,

I noticed one more thing, there is no com.ontotext.kim.client.gate.NercAPI class available anymore. Actually, the whole com.ontotext.kim.client.gate package is missing. I found out about this when I tried to compile one of the examples provided in the system documentation - I added all .jar files from the lib folder as well as kim.jar and kim-api.jar to my classpath (I'm using Eclipse 3.1 IDE). I could compile it previously...I tried also with the KIM-api.jar you sent me, but no results.

Regards,
Jelena

Hi Jelena,

Here is a quick fix for you, don't bother installing JDK1.5.
http://ontodemo.sirma.bg/KIM/patches/kim.1.6.8.7-rmi.jdk15.fix.zip
But use these files with the latest 1.6.8.7 version only:
- replace KIM-api.jar in KIM_HOME folder
- replace sesame.jar in KIM_HOME/lib folder
You will also have to replace them in the folder
TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/KIM/WEB-INF/lib
in case you (want to) use the KIM WebUI via Tomcat.

HTH,
Ilian
