Committer status is a formal process, requiring a vote by the Podling PMC. See http://incubator.apache.org/guides/ppmc.html#Voting+in+a+new+committer So, Jason should not be listed as a committer. Jason, would welcome your contributions. Please feel free to contribute to mailing list discussions, contribute patches, etc. This is the way that new "contributors" earn karma with the community and become a "committer". Filing an ICLA with the ASF can occur at anytime. So, feel free to submit one at anytime. --kevan
