Comparing Xgl, AIGLX, and Beryl, it appears to me that Beryl has a lot more customizable options. Xgl on SLED 10 has limited number of plugins. But I think Novell thought that since SLED10 is targetted for corporate use, they put the plugins at a minimal. What they thought is a "reasonable" amount.
