Photoshop is a different genre. I use GIMP for photo-editing. Xara LX is comparable to Inkscape, Adobe Illustrator, or CorelDraw. What's good with Xara LX is that its codebase were ported from its Windows version which of course was improved upon by Corel. Xara before was actually known as Corel Xara.
