Pardon the cross-posting.. I'm running a SLES 10 box right now with httpd, mta+mda, and proxy right now. This box has been working just fine for years on end.
Recently, I was doing a random monitoring of the server and found "No buffer space available." errors all over the place. This error is intermittent, and does not occur regularly. When this error appears, it happens for about 2 - 3 minutes then disappears. I was searching for possible reasons however the causes range from: - NIC being on the faulty PCI slot - faulty kernel build - virus/worm infection on client stations - ARP-related - system resources consumed by the kernel I'm not really sure yet what caused this problem. I'm still double checking. If you have experienced this type of issue, I'll really appreciate it if you can describe it here and how you solved it. Might cut the chase down to a few yards :) -- "A dog that has no bite, barks loudest."
