Thank you for your help.
I managed to get in without the settings file is opened and it worked. Now I'm
seeing all my data except a bank account that is not appearing. But I can
visualize them in reports.
I think the problem was solved.
It was great to know we can count on the support of you and congratulations for

That doesn't sound good. Normally, when there is a problem with a user file,
an xml file has to be produced to give the possibility of editing the data.
However, if you cannot load the file you can't access the 'File/Save as' menu.
Now, before going any further, make a backup of your kmy file, in case things
go even more wrong.
All may not be lost, however. Unexpectedly, I've found that I can open a .kmy
file with either kate or kwrite. If you have either of those installed, see if
you can open your file.
You may need to go into the KDE System settings program, and open File
Associations. Enter kmymoney into the search box and it should find
x-kmymoney. Select that, then look at the lower window on the right -
Application Preference Order. Click 'Add' and enter either/both kate/kwrite.
Then try to open your file with one of them. If that gives you an xml-looking
text file, search for the missing entry. Now this might be another problem,
because although you only mention 'A000288', the log shows -

one entry? Search for those accounts and schedules and report back. Are you
confident in your file editing capabilities? If in doubt, you could send a
copy of the file to me off-list (I'm fairly trust-worthy, and fairly well-known
around here!)
