At this point, I'd recommend other users to avoid tags completely when using KMM, and the devs to remove tagging completely from KMM until stable to use. Right now its too unpredictable and unstable, and will inevitably result inmisreporting and data interpretation errors or worst, loss of data.
Unfortunately, this has been my experience too. I would love to use the tags feature, but it just isn't reliable.
