You can get the version from Help/About KMyMoney. 5.0 is very old at this point, and no longer supported. If you are really on 5.0, and that wasn't a typo, please first try upgrading to a 5.2 version, available from https://kmymoney.org/windows.html. You are correct that once you specify which type of import you are doing (banking, ....) and select or add a new import profile, clicking on Select File should take you to a file chooser dialog to specify the csv file.
