Position:CICS expert Location: Baltimore, MD Duration: 6-9 months This request is for a position in which special emphasis is placed on hands-on expertise involving the administration of the CICS product and CICS-related products (e.g. InterTest, BMS/TS, etc.) in a large, complex mainframe-based environment. We are looking for a motivated person who wants to work in a dynamic environment with numerous learning opportunities and challenges.
DESCRIPTION Experience in mainframe CICS systems programming including installation, customization, and maintenance of latest CICS Transaction Server product versions - Required Experience in processing CICS application requests for new resource definitions (e.g. program, file, transaction, and DPL entries) - Required Experience in installing, customizing, and maintaining various CICS- related products (e.g. BMS/TS, InterTest, TICTOC, etc.) - Required Experience with ISPF, JCL, CLISTs, REXX, and various IBM utilities - Required Experience in providing CICS support, troubleshooting, and documentation - Required Ability to research complex problems and provide solutions in a timely fashion - Required Experience with WebSphere MQSeries (WMQ) - Desired Strong application development using COBOL and/or ALC - Desired Experience with SAS - Desired Motivation to learn new tools Ability to work independently as well as with others in a team environment Ability to effectively multitask Ability to adapt well to change Additional requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or similar.
