Job Purpose/ Description: Support corporate rollout of RHEL Linux operating system. The position will support various projects including channel stabilization. Tasks and Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities (Role): • Linux System Administration for Red Hat Linux (RHEL) Operating System and HP/Intel hardware. • Support corporate rollout of RHEL operating system including building Linux infrastructure on an as needed basis. • Serves as deployment subject matter expert (SME) on troubleshooting and problem resolution activities. • Provide support for Linux based applications and servers on an as needed basis. • Develop partnerships with engineering, operations, and application development groups. • Report on progress to technical lead, project manager and technology management. Required education/experience: Work Experience (Required): • 4+ years experience of Red Hat Linux (RHEL) administration • 5+ years experience with HP Intel hardware including blades. • 3+ years experience with VMware ESX 3.0/3.5 Working Knowledge (Nice to Have): • Systems management technologies (e.g. Tivoli Framework, TSM and related products) • LAN/WAN technologies and network protocols (e.g. routers, switches, TCP/IP) • SAN/NAS technologies (preferably Hitachi, NetApp) • Database technologies (e.g. Oracle) General skills (Required): • Excellent conceptual and analytical skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Able to produce detailed, technical documentation • Ability to work on a team or independently in a fast paced dynamic environment • Willing to adhere to corporate standards/change management policies • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required • Professional certifications are a plus Thanks & Regards, Mohan rao, [email protected], 847-483-8844. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "KNOW.IT" group.
