Responsibilities: Define and design the switched digital video server use cases like channel changes, carousel streaming, session management, subscriber management and topology management. Requirements: Qualified candidate must have Bachelors degree or Masters in Computer Science, Electrical engineering or related field plus 8+ years directly related experience or equivalent. Candidate must have 6-10 years of software development experience on Linux/UNIX platform using C++, STL, COM and CORBA Development experience on a transaction-based product with high availability and IP interfaces. Strong knowledge of object-oriented software architecture and design patterns, and experience in sockets programming. Familiarity with network protocols (SNMP, TCP, UDP, IP) is a must. Working knowledge of IP interfaces is needed. Extensive knowledge of Linux/UNIX system APIs for synchronization objects, file system, shared memory, networking etc, familiarity with XML, Syslog, excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, and good written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skills: Familiarity with ClearCase. Experience in ACE/TAO APIs is a big plus. Experience in developing SNMP Agent and/or SNMP Management applications Focuses real time processes. must have experience with: real time transactions video protocols IPTV, RTSP or video on demand C++ telecom background would work well.
