Position: Lead/Architect OBIEE Consultant
Location(State/city):New York NY/NEW YORK CITY
Duration: 3 + months
**Need Direct Face to Face Interview so looking for local or nearby
consultants only**
Required Details:
SKILLS REQUIRED:
. 10-11 Yrs experience working on high profile data warehouse projects
involving Business Intelligence Solutions.
. Must have worked on at least two to three OBIEE projects
· OBIEE installation and architecture experience
· OBIEE Metadata experience
· OBIEE Dashboard/Report experience
· Configuration, integration with multiple OBIEE projects
· Report development experience using ANSI SQL
· Siebel/OBIEE Certification a HUGE plus
· Netezza experience a plus
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities will include the following:
1. Customize OBIEE look and feel for optimal user experience,
2. Customize OBIEE widgets by overriding javascript implementation.,
3. Ability to implement simple html user interface that calls OBIEE
predefined report.
4. Understanding of OBIEE Webservices capabilities a plus.
a.. Review business problems and design appropriate solutions utilizing
Oracle BI Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
b.. Install and configure OBIEE platform and architecture of OBIEE Server,
in development, QA lab as well as in production.
c.. Configure solution for failover, load balancing, caching, security,
etc.
d.. Design and develop metadata to meet specific customer requirements
e.. Design and develop and test reports and dashboards to meet user
requirements
f.. Customize look and feel to meet user's expectations
g.. Create extensible framework that allows advanced users to customize and
create new reports.
h.. Estimate hardware footprint to meet present and future data and user
requests volumes.
i.. Participate in schema and ETL review. Provide feedback on their impact
to the OBIEE project and suggest improvements.
j.. Apply skills to complete design, documentation, coding, generation of
unit tests, integration testing and other work that may be necessary to help
the team achieve release software product.
k.. Diagnose and resolve defects in code.
l.. Support QA production operation group and user base as needed.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
a.. Serve as the subject matter expert for OBIEE demonstrating expertise in
Oracle BI Server, Oracle BI Answers, Oracle BI Interactive Dashboard, and
Oracle BI Publisher.
b.. Document Work and Train Engineers to maintain existing reports and
create new ones.
c.. Provide input to the Software Architect for design of the system
d.. Be in constant communication with other members of the team.
e.. Attend planning, design and retrospective meeting.
f.. Report progress to the other team members and the team lead.
g.. Follow team and department software development practices and
guidelines.
