Position: Senior AIX Administrator: Location: Moline, IL
Duration: 6 Months 1. Solid AIX/Unix Administration 2. IBM HACMP 3. Virtualization 4. Experience working in large infrastructure set ups with SAP. Job Description: The major purpose of this position is to work with existing resources on the SAP Basis and Performance team to implement High Availability using AIX HACMP for various SAP systems via planning and implementing HACMP for other SAP applications - like Business Warehouse, Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager, Exchange Infrastructure, etc. Duties and Required Skills: · Working with existing SAP Basis resources to understand the Switchover requirements for each SAP application as far as filesystems, start/stop sequence, etc. · Ensuring the necessary technical infrastructure is in place and configured to enable the application to failover · Doing the AIX HACMP configuration and scripting required to enable failover of the SAP application · Testing and Deploying the solution to multiple SAP systems · Training other members on the Basis team on how to support, test and maintain HACMP for SAP Required Skills · Candidate must have strong AIX HACMP skills and 4+ years of experience with AIX OS Administration · Experience with SAN and Network infrastructure as it relates to AIX administration and HACMP · Strong AIX Scripting skills and/or development background · Excellent analysis and problem solving skills · Good communication, documentation and interpersonal skills · Ability to work effectively within a team structure · Ability and desire to work within a large, structured organization Preferred Skills: · SAP Basis skills and experience · Prior experience configuring HACMP for Application failover · Prior experience with AIX p5 hardware, AIX 5.3 including multipartitioning and virtual I/O Sareen Bhaskaran Resource Manager Prosoft Cyberworld Group 630-371-0530 ext 145 [email protected] PLEASE MARK A CC TO [email protected] --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "KNOW.IT" group.
