Reply ASAP QA Analyst SFO,CA Rates : $42/hr 6 months Description: The Software QA Analyst debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products. He/she develops and executes software test plans and writes/maintains automated test tools scripts, utilities, etc. The individual will analyze and write test standards/procedures and maintain the adherence to the standards. The QA Analyst will also maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Additionally, the individual will analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and will also recommend corrective action on issues that surface. The individual will also consult with development engineers in resolution of various issues and/or problems. 5 + years experience in software testing Required Skills: - Computer Science or Engineering degree strongly preferred If the candidate has a Master's , it accounts for 3-4 yrs working experience (If the have a Master's and 3 years in one position as a solid QA position that is acceptable) - Investment Management / Financial Markets experience preferred (exp at Brokerage companies within Investment mgmt - knowledge of stock trades and investments) Work Ethic: - Good and timely communication skills, important to coordinate with a remote team - Follows testing standards and best practices - Self motivated, meets deadlines and pro-actively gives advance notice when deadlines won't be met - Must be able to work independently - 2 + years in a hands-on QA leadership role with at least 3 products shipped to customers 7 + years Software testing experience. Experience working with Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT, UNIX, SQL environments required as well as Web Services testing and knowledge of databases (pref Oracle). Also, looking for candidates with experience in test planning, test writing, test execution and results reporting. Prior experience working with globally dispersed cross-functional teams. A strong background in database application testing, SQL, web technologies and performance testing techniques is a preferable. Testing disciplines for validating data integrity, middleware (APIs), back end servers and UI functionality. Strong analytical skills required. Experience with automated test tools (Silk Test, QTP) is required.
