Hi ALL, One of my client is looking for Hyperion/Essbase consultant. Location: Midtown NYC Duration: 12 months Rate: 50$/hr Need a “proactive personality” Ability to question and probe the users. Talk to users, help users, NOT Passive Person. Qualifications/Requirements : 3 years experience in the following: - Essbase System Administration - Essbase Cube Build and Maintenance (ASO a plus) - SQL Server management and scripting - VB Scripting for excel templates - Hyperion Application Link/EPMA a plus - Data Management and Data integrity - Essbase Integration Services (EIS) - Working knowledge of SDLC process
Minimum Educational Requirements: • B.S. in Accounting or Computer Science; or equivalent work experience preferred This resource does not need to have all these skills, but should have the Reporting, Security, and Fault Resolution abilities at a minimum: The candidate will be required to interact with internal customers and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve business/technical issues and support product enhancements. Applicants must have good communication skills, both written and oral. The candidate will be responsible for the following tasks as they relate to the role: Product Preparation, Installation & Configuration: -Procure or assist with procurement, prepare and receive specified application product Install software -Collaborate with application architect, business and application teams to configure the application environment -Validate successful installation and configuration of product components -Coordinate with product vendor for missing or faulty components -Obtain and install 3rd party software as required by the application software -Document the installation and chosen configuration parameters Patch Management: • Research, obtain and apply latest patches for product in coordination with the application architect • Validate successful installation and configuration of patches • Coordinate with vendor for patch issues and solutions • Monitoring and performance tuning for optimal operational efficiency: • Install and configure performance and monitoring tools as documented in the IS Catalog • Manage performance in terms of run-time improvement and recommend changes when appropriate • Maintain successful operation of application form and function: • Provide operational support for application • Notify internal customer(s) of new product releases and upgrades • Maintain up-to-date documentation of product-related configuration • Maintain overall configuration and perform change control functions (OPAS) for product • Develop, implement and record change requests for product • Review and comment on back-up procedures for product components Fault Resolution: • Respond to fault conditions as reported • Classify each fault according to the standard fault severity rating • Manage the resolution of faults to completion • Perform root cause analysis • Provide fault isolation, diagnosis and resolution coordination; where possible, apply fault correction or workaround • Coordinate activities of third party support where applicable • Research and validate with vendor for additional support if necessary • Research, review and recommend alternatives to prevent future outage Security: • Security-related procedures and access will be performed only for administrators of application products Reporting - Setup and Maintain Reporting tools (Hyperion Web Analyzer and Hyperion Financial Reports) - Develop reports/end-user GUI using Web Analysis, Financial Reports - Schedule reports for automated production - Create and maintain custom Excel/VBA reports Please send resume to [email protected] Regards Nivedita Sharma 402-932-4261 --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "KNOW.IT" group.
