Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 12+ months *Description* Looking for a Senior .NET developer to assist in building a High Yield Bond Trading Research Database *Skills required:* Strong C#, .NET Framework 3.5, .NET Winforms Strong SQL skills (SQL 2005) and database modeling skills OOPS, XML, XSLT Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, ability to work directly with the business users Thorough understanding of SDLC and project lifecycle methodology Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to perform well under stress (trading floor location) 8+ years of working experience as a Developer/Analyst 5+ years of working experience using Microsoft Development tools 4+ years of working experience in C# *Nice to have Skills:* Background in Bond Trading Markets from a systems and/or operational standpoint Evaluates systems specifications for complex business requirements, and develops and prepares computer solutions. Determines and implements the most efficient and cost effective solution (e.g. codes new or modified programs, reuses existing code through the use of program development software alternatives or integrates purchased solutions). Acts as a liaison between clients and applications area. Analyses problems outlined by systems analysts in terms of detailed equipment requirements and capabilities. Verifies program logic by preparing test data for trial runs. Works with Systems Analysts, operations technical staff and IT staff, as appropriate, in the testing and debugging of programs and participates in the overall systems testing. In conjunction with operations area technical staff, supports the implementation of the application into production. May confer with technical personnel. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
