Here is another Direct client role. Telephonic screen will be followed by a face to face. Location : Dallas. Duration :7 months with possible 5 month extension. Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator Duration: 7 months The right candidate will have the role of an Application Database Administrator in the Enterprise Data Projects department. The candidate will have system-wide responsibility for the OLTP databases. Monitor the databases and take appropriate steps to improve system performance. Will perform physical modeling, construction, monitoring, and tuning. Adhere to company's technology standards. Review and provide feedback to development staff regarding effective SQL use. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8+ years experience in the following areas: Experience with 10g RAC, ASM. Experience with very Large OLTP system with very high transaction rate. Proactive monitoring and tuning of the DBMS in OLTP environments for optimal performance. At least five years should be Oracle specific. Experience with PL/SQL, Oracle Partitioning, Parallel Queries, RMAN, Oracle Security and UNIX scripting required. Physical database modeling using tools such as ERwin and developing physical database models from logical models. Should be able to communicate and work equally well with Developers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers. Airline industry knowledge is a plus. Potential candidates must have a degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field.
