We have an urgent requriment with our client at Bay Area - CA Duration : 6 months Plus Bill rate : DOE Job Description Test Engineer for Wireless Networking Solutions Description Key areas include: • Certify new code releases on Cisco Wireless products. • Write detail feature test plans, design test bed environments/ topologies. Initiate and participate in efforts to improve group productivity and test effectiveness. • Work on existing test plans, modify test plans to address discrepancies, be able to implement lab environment based on design requirements, collaborate with network design engineers in implementing and testing certain scenarios. • Work with network design documentation and test plans, be able to document test results and make recommendations to network designs based on test results achieved, and work on improving test plans. • Configure and test wireless voice and data clients on different platforms (Notebook computers, WiFi phones, smartphones) • Assist Routing and Switching team with high priority certifications by upgrading different Cisco devices. Skills required: • L2 and L3 - CCNP level certification is desirable (EIGRP, HSRP, GLBP, QoS configurations, Cisco L2 and L3 switches, Multicast) • Wireless - A Cisco wireless certification or one of the CWNP certifications is desirable (be familiar with the Cisco Unified Wireless Architecture, LWAPP, CAPWAP and Autonomous mode Access Points, Cisco Wireless controllers, General knowledge of 802.11 standards, General knowledge of EAP authentication protocols and authentication infrastructure, General knowledge in wireless security area) • Network Management - some knowledge of Cisco WCS, good understanding of general functions of network management systems in large IT organizations, basic Unix/Linux skills. • Other (optional) - have some knowledge on Location Based Services, IDS/IPS. Previous cisco exp is good. Need local candidate to Bay Area - CA As in person interview will be required.
