We have an urgent requriment with one of client Cisco in Bay Area - CA. Duration : 6 months Plus Bill rate : DOE Responsibilities will include: - Understanding Application logical Architecture and the physical deployment of the logical components. - Analyzing network protocols used by the Application for network in- efficiencies. - Analyzing Application for susceptibility to network latency. - Recommending strategies to reduce network footprint of the application. Required Skills (at least 3): - Knowledge of Application protocols (HTTP/HTTPs, SMTP, FTP, TNS, SQLNET, JMS, DNS). - Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and concepts such as Nagle Algorithm, Slow Start, Flow & congestion control etc. - Knowledge of network & routing protocols (EIGRP, HSRP, MTU, MSS etc) and load balancing (VIP, GSLB etc) - Knowledge of application Caching methodologies (browser web cache, DNS Cache, DB cache etc). - Knowledge of Web technologies and their network footprint (AJAX, REST, SOAP, J2EE) - Knowledge of Application frameworks (DOJO, YUI, etc) Minimum requirements: - Experience with using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, OPNET ACE. - BS in Computer Science/Engineering. - Software Development/Test background (minimum 3 years). - Proficient in creating presentations and reports.
