location: Madison WI rate: $40/hr Position Description Experience with Cognos Best Practices & Methodologies. Experience in both dimensional warehouse as well as normalized databases. Ability to work with customer to design technical solutions to meet business requirements. Ability to troubleshoot and perform server and report performance tuning. Responsibilities will include developing and documenting BI tool set standards, guidelines and best practices and deliver these through training or other knowledge transfer methods to the rest of the team. Need resource requiring minimum instruction and is team oriented with ability to communicate effectively with other team members and customers. Skills Required "Experience with Cognos 8.x report development, support, and administration. Experience with Cognos 8.x Framework model development including DMR, relational and OLAP. Experience with Oracle database 9i or higher (10G or higher preferred). Strong SQL knowledge (including SQL design & tuning) Preferred Cognos 8.x Administration / Architecture experience Preferred Cognos SDK knowledge Preferred experience with Cognos 8.x Dashboard and/or Scorecard development, support, administration.
