Loader utility familiarity . Scripting, system configuration and management . OS contention issue analysis and resolution . Backup and recovery at both OS and database levels . Expert knowledge of PLSQL & SQL . SQL Tuning . Experience with systems development lifecycle . Operational and technical documentation . Experience with Oracle 10g Grid Control/Oracle Enterprise Manager EDUCATION >> BS in related field or equivalent in experience The Client is is seeking a top notch technical contributor with 6 or more years of professional experience in high availability and high performance Oracle database environments. Candidates must have extensive experience as a DBA with experience in managing databases supporting large applications such as SAP, Enterprise One ERP, Data warehouse and/or e- Commerce solutions. Candidates must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the design, installation, deployment, maintenance, and tuning of large and complex applications and databases on Linux and/or UNIX platforms. Candidates must be able to work well in a team environment and independently. Experience with high performance SAN environments is expected. Experience with both RAC clusters and active / passive database clusters is expected. The ability to write and analyze shell scripts, SQL, PLSQL and Oracle Utilities is required. Experience in MS SQL database management is a plus. Proven experience in implementation project teams is a must. Experience in regulated or validated environments is a plus. Experience in Global 24x7 environments is a plus. Candidates must possess good analytical skills and written and oral communication skills.
