Position : SSRS/SSIS Report Writer / Analyst

Duration : 6 months

Rate : $45/hr

 Responsibilities:
- Work closely with HR IT Time Reporting BA to support U.S. time reporting
system, CyberShift, and related interfaces (i.g., to/from PeopleSoft) and
extension programs (i.g., e-mail notification program, reporting tools,
configuration data migration program)
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the technical tools used to support
U.S. time reporting (i.g., SQL, SSRS, SSIS, C#.NET, CMT, Java, Perl).
- Create technical designs, conduct development, conduct unit testing,
and/or conduct installation/migration for system, interface, and/or program
changes
- Act as first-level responder on all time reporting production support
issues
- Consult with the CyberShift vendor and 3M SMEs to resolve issues
- Manage scheduled time reporting batch jobs and facilitate corresponding
monthly meetings
- Manage manually-triggered time reporting batch jobs (i.g., program to
process payroll, program to synch time on CyberShift blueline servers,
program to refresh employee data from PeopleSoft to CyberShift)
- Set up new/replacement/temporary badges in CyberShift as requested by
plant HR contacts via the CyberShift SharePoint site
- Assess compatibility and conduct testing for changes related to
Infrastructure, Environment, or Operations (i.g., new operating systems,
database password changes)

Skills/Experience:
- Analytical skills - ability to understand and translate requirements into
a technical design, identify unit test cases, etc.
- Technical skills - ability to conduct development using a variety of tools
and languages, document unit test results, migrate and apply changes, etc.
- Experience with a packaged system including working with the vendor to
develop changes, modify configuration, incorporate extension programs, etc.
- Communication skills (written/oral) - ability to clearly document and
communicate IT issues with 3M SMEs, CyberShift vendor, etc.
- Organizational skills - ability to track issues and to conduct
software/rule installations, SSRS development, etc.
- Troubleshooting skills - ability to investigate escalated issues to
determine the cause and work to prevent its reoccurrence.
