Position: Engineer, Sr Staff - Test (Embedded Software / Device Drivers) Location: CA Duration: full time Rate : Open Business UnitWireless Connectivity *Job Description* - With a pure digital CMOS approach and excellent blocking performance, Client’s Bluetooth® chipsets and system solutions provide the technology to make Wireless Personal Area Networking a reality. Providing radio frequency, baseband, system and complete software support to OEMs and system integrators, Client’s Bluetooth chips enable the wireless sharing of data among scores of electronic devices, from mobile phones and wireless stereo headsets to PDAs and automobiles. In this position you will work with the Bluetooth ASIC design team to design and develop Embedded Software, Device Drivers, and Scripts to extensively exercise and verify new hardware blocks within Bluetooth and WLAN ASIC's. The successful candidate will have a broad background in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Radios, and Debugging of Software/ Hardware problems in complicated systems. Job Requirements-Typically requires a BSCS/BSCE/BSEE or equivalent and 9 years of related experience, a MSCS/MSCE/MSEE and 6 years of related experience or a PhD and 3 years of related experience. -3-5 years experience working with embedded software and device drivers is required. -Experience writing embedded systems diagnostics is required. -Experience in C/C++ is required. -Experience testing wireless devices is desired. -Experience with functional testing on ASICs is desired. -Experience with PC based test automation is highly desired. -Experience with Perl is desired.
