Location - Charlotte, N.C Rate - Best in the market Primary Skills: J2EE Platform # of Years Required: 6-8 Secondary Skills: Oracle # of Years Required: 4-6 Job Purpose/ Description: • Develops using Java. • Strong ability to analyze functional needs that drive the analysis and technical design of quality technical solutions; recommends solutions that are aligned with business / IT strategies and complies with corporate architectural standards. • Resolves complex application and technical problems. • Analyzes complex performance and capacity issues with systems / applications software and/or application components. • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies. • Provides mentoring and training to more junior staff. • Handles complex operational tasks and recommends processing and technology changes. • Strong ability to work collaboratively with IT staff on development, troubleshooting, and other technical efforts. • Create/Maintain software documentation and systems design. • Strong communication skills. Tasks and Responsibilities: • Strong knowledge of programming /systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions; possesses a strong Understanding of programming languages, development tools, and the current environment. • Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses a strong understanding of business requirements and IT strategies. • Draws on broad knowledge base (e.g., infrastructure, technology, and applications) to analyze complex problems and contribute to troubleshooting efforts. • Leverages strong design understanding and/or capabilities (e.g., database, application code, reusable objects, and interfaces) to optimize development efforts in a distributed environment. • Good understanding of development technology used to support one or more business operations areas. • Responds to direct questions from IT Management or the business on the effects of emerging technologies on product development and business directions; may provide buy vs. build recommendations or assist in platform determination.
