The group’s services support engineering multi tiered applications written in Java and .NET. The service based development would entail the following: • Understand existing best practices and .NET applications/ prototypes. • Use Architectural standards, best practices and design patterns that are put in place to develop/mentor new/existing applications • Work with the Architects and Engineers, developers, Testers and Service Delivery to design, build, test and deploy applications, services and new infrastructural components. • Provide technical support to testing competency center, operational IT teams, and business applications that intend to consume business services • Provide debugging leadership and guidance for Application teams. • Evaluate and engineer vendor products under both Windows and Solaris. • Backup the Web Services engineers using Actional and Sonic. • Participate in a project to implement the Registry portion of the HP Systinet product. This is a hands-on position, requiring both design and coding skills and strong technical communications. To be considered, the candidate must have at least 10 years significant experience as a software engineer in a formal product development environment. He/She must have implemented successful solutions to a variety of challenges in design and coding, functionality and usability, and optimization. It is required to demonstrate experience in advanced .NET application development, well beyond the construction of simple ASP.NET Pages. Also java development of Servlets or JSP's. These areas would be looked into closely. The team realizes this is a broad range.
