REQUIRED : • 10+Years of IT experience • 10+Years of SQL Server/Oracle DBA experience • UNIX systems (Linux and Solaris) experience Job Description: We are searching for a SQL Server/Oracle DBA to be part of a team of DBA Team within DSSG Technology. DSSG Technology teams function is to primarily support Regional Banking with reporting and data analysis on areas such as compliance, teller scheduling, store performance, recruiting etc. We are looking for dynamic, professional, team-oriented, self-motivated individual with good communication skills and positive attitude. Prior experience in DB administration environment is a must, with a minimum 10+ years of SQL DBA and Oracle DBA combined (no less than 3 years on either). Responsibilities: • Install, configure, administer and manage SQL Server in Dev, other non production, PROD and BCP environments in SQL 2005 / 2008 & Oracle 10g/11g • Monitor database performance and tune SQL queries • Perform SQL Server and Oracle database Backup, Restore and Recovery, when needed • Experience in migration from SQL 2005 to SQL 2008 • Migrate from DTS to SSIS packages • Need to have familiarity with Log Shipping and other Disaster Recovery methods • Implement and maintain database security in both SQL and Oracle environments • Interact and coordinate work with Production DBAs, System Administrators, Project Managers and fellow team members to support various project requests • Design, test, implement, maintain and control the organization's physical, relational databases across multiple platforms and computing environments. • Participate in the development of data architectures and database management policies and standards for current and future applications. • Provide in-depth consulting services in the identification and resolution of database issues in a timely and professional manner. • Responsible for the ongoing tuning and optimizing of existing complex databases • Responsible for deploying and maintaining database codes in multiple SQL Server and Oracle environments • Responsible for debugging and optimization of SQL queries and stored procedures. • Participate in the capacity planning and usage of database server resources. • Provide support to development team on infrastructure and DBA tasks. • Provide a periodic status of application, db security and performance. • May need to develop detailed data models and entity relationship diagrams. • Develops and maintains a comprehensive library of all supporting documentation. • Prefer experience designing and implementing data warehouses, including experience with SSAS and SSRS. • Oracle developmental experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL , tuning of SQL Queries is required • Need to be flexible and may have to work in late hours, if and when required.
