Hi… Let me know if you have any consultant for the below position. Duration : 1 year Location : Chicago, IL Rate: $40-$45/hr Perform all regular DBA duties, which include (but are not limited to): Backup databases, create and change databases, recover damaged databases from a backup, grant permissions to database objects, participate in performance/load testing of database through an application, perform SQL query tuning, database tuning and database performance analysis. - Work on assigned requests that have come through email, iPortal, Service Center, and unassigned requests that come via team Helpline, direct phone calls, pager, walk ups, etc. - Follow the processes, procedures and standards that have been documented by the Application DBA Services Team. - Assists resources and teams across the enterprise in solving database issues and answering database related questions. - Perform database change management activities and participate in daily change management meetings with other IS resources. - Take turns on Helpline and DBA pager, providing 24x7 on-call support for Sql Server DBA functions. - Helps team solve problems or find solutions to complex issues. *Mandatory Requirements: * - 2-3 years experience in Sql Server Database Administration, with experience in Sql Server 2005 and 2008 DBMS is REQUIRED. - Flexibility in working hours to facilitate communication with remote teams. - Strong communication skills are required (both written and oral) - Experience coding and using SQL statements to access data. - Experience in Sql tuning and database performance tuning. - Experience in creation and support of SSIS packages. - Understanding of application development and environment and database design preferred. - Ability to work in a team environment with members in remote locations.
