Sr. SAS Analyst *Location:* IL** *Duration:* 3 to 6M *Contract* (will extend long term) *Rate: *$40 to 45 - SAS (version 9.2 or above) - 2 plus years of Healthcare Claims experience *ADDITIONAL SKILLS* * * - Degree with a health care concentration preferred (or equivalent health care experience), specializing in Statistics, Research Methods, Pharmacy or Social Sciences with applicable and documented experience. - A minimum of seven years of experience within a business environment with a minimum of 3 years within a managed care or health services delivery setting with expertise in analyzing large claims databases. Experience with healthcare informatics, provider contracting, benefit cost containment programs and/or medical economics. - Expertise in ad-hoc SAS programming and statistical methodologies within SAS, SPSS, or STATA. Experience with SQL and DB2. PC experience using database programs, spreadsheets, and word processing, including all components of MS Office (particularly MS Excel and MS Access).
