Duration: 18-24 months Rate: $48-50/hr C2C, $40-$44 W-2 Description: We are looking for a Jr. Oracle Production DBA for UNIX and Linux. This position is based in Salt Lake City, UT. This is a contract position for 18 to 24 months. Summary: You would provide product database support in development and production environments. You will need to construct software products using current software engineering techniques and technologies. Responsibilities. * Provide technical expertise for Oracle databases. * Train and mentor junior team members. * Devise or modify procedures to solve complex business problems. * Design, configure and test software products within budget and schedule constraints. * Accurately estimate work requirements. * Plan assigned activities in detail. * Report status promptly and forthrightly. * Communicate effectively in team oriented environment. * Follow Good software development practices and procedures. Qualifications. * Bachelors degree in a technical Discipline or equivalent experience. * 4-5 years Unix/Linux systems experience required. * 4-5 years Oracle RDBMS, * 2-4 years production Oracle RDBMS database administration experience required. * 2+ years database SQL script writing experience required. * 2+ years developing Brio Reports highly preferred. * Excellent communication skills required. * Strong problem resolution skills required. * Ability to work in a team oriented environment required. * Rational Development Suite (Clear Case and Clear Quest) admin experience desired. * Experience with Microsoft Office tools required. * In-person interview required, at your expense.
