6 months contract position (with a chance to go perm or get extended for 1 year) GC's and US Citizens only. Face to face interview is required, so please look for local candidates. Responsibilities include tracking all non-financial metrics for core services (including digital video (iO), high-speed internet (OOL) and voice over IP (OV) as well as any new initiatives. If you prefer to be handed a task and then spend a few weeks coding it in a bubble, you need not apply. The person in this position must be comfortable understanding the business and have a desire to interact with all levels of management to be a key player and difference-maker. A desire to challenge management with solid arguments and data, and to be challenged back is a plus. Qualifications: Must have a minimum of six (6) years of database (Oracle preferred) programming with a proven track record of partnering with a business unit to provide unparalleled service and value. Technical/Functional Competencies. Experience in development / analytical tools, consisting of, but not limited to the following; PL/SQL, Oracle, Unix Shell Scripting required. Some experience with OLAP reporting type tools such as Microstrategy or Cognos preferred. Full understanding of project management processes and tasks. Must have experience working within a formal methodology for software/reports development. Ability to perform multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on workload and direction from management. Ability to organize, plan and execute major projects with minimal supervision. Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential.
