Position : Solutions Designer in the Business Intelligence Skills Must: Solutions Designer in the Business Intelligence Location : Austin Texas Duration : 3-6 months contract Rate : Market Rate. *Job Description:* *Position Summary: *Solutions team is a shared service that acts as an interface between business and delivery teams. They own projects from end to end from a ownership perspective and work with delivery teams to get them executed and delivered to the customer. Solutions team puts together the high level solution for the delivery teams to do detailed design and develop the solutions. Solutions team will work hand in hand with the Architecture ream to ensure that the solution design adheres to the architectural guidelines. * Job Functions: • *Be Responsible and Accountable for solutions in a functional domain or across domains • Be the single point of contact for a solution domain and involve other teams like Architecture and Delivery as needed to contribute towards the solution design and business delivery of the solution • Ensure that solutions are delivered On time (Program/Project Management), On Budget (Fiscal Management) and On Quality by working with Delivery/Program/Project Managers • Create high level solution design document with scope, assumptions and risks documented for delivery team to work further on for detailed design and development. • Develop and Maintain relationships with customers and executives of the domain to articulate solutions effectively and get business buy in • Facilitate business opportunities for information usage • Work with Business IT and facilitate the prioritization process of competing priorities • Manage Inter-dependency, Inter-operability and Lineage in a domain or across domains • Scope incremental changes and enhancement efforts at the program level • Assess feasibility of solutions, identify gaps and lead discussions with necessary peers to address them • Need strong technology skills to work with technical teams (e.g. Online Platform, e-Commerce Applications, Studios) * Business & Technical Domain Expertise: • *Strong business and data analytics mindset and skill set • Ability to work with online engineering / development teams to understand and document process/data flows. Be in a position to guide their thinking in terms of data and process architecture • Define functional goals based on BRD and associate it with related business metrics • Review Business Requirements Document, assess gap between BRD & technical / functional goals, work with business / engineering / development teams to get the feature set gaps developed / addressed • Ability to work with business users to understand business requirements and convert them to technical requirements to prepare a high level design / prototype • Participate in all parts of the SDLC, at a detailed level in initial phases and oversight level in detailed design and development phases • Very good verbal and written business and technical communication skills • Experience in an Onsite-Offshore development model is required • Good understanding of ETL products especially Informatica 8x product architecture, Development, Deployment strategy and Integration points • Experience in disciplined development approach and ability to formulate / amend standards as required * Job Qualification / Skills • *10+ years of demonstrated Solution Design / Development / Delivery experience • 8+ years of experience in ETL design with any industry leading ETL tool (Preferably Informatica 8x) • Knowledge and experience in building solutions for a dynamic work environment that’s complex and high volume in nature • Solution Design and oversight experience in any large Teradata environment is required • Proven track record in Program/Project Management and Budget Management required • Strong analytical skills - Data Analytics / Business Analytics required • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Data Warehousing Concepts, Principles and Design methodologies (Star/Kimball and CIF/Inmon) • Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts, Relational modeling (3NF and Fact-Dim) and VLDB aspects • Good understanding of Oracle (10g) and Teradata (R12) platforms and SQL expertise on them required • Architectural and Analytical knowledge of Reporting/Analytic tools is required (Microstrategy,Cognos etc) • Data Modeling experience is a Plus • Experience in a high volume dynamic online environment is a plus For other requirements or Daily hot requirements you can find this link http://req.benchfolks.com/9079 -- Regards, Bhuvana www.tridentconsultinginc.com [email protected] 630 296 8753 V 925 947 5918 F Click the below link and Find the today’s hot requirements from Bhuvana Trident Consulting Inc., http://req.benchfolks.com/9079 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "KNOW.IT" group.
